Police arrested a murder accused, Vinod Kumar, in connection with the killing of Hanumanth Rao from Pittaguda village in Tiryani Mandal. According to police officials, the accused allegedly suspected the victim of performing black magic that was causing health problems to his family members.
Despite attempts by village elders to resolve the dispute through mediation, tensions continued between the two families. Police stated that the accused attacked Hanumanth Rao with an axe, resulting in his death. After the murder, the accused was arrested but later escaped from police custody before being recaptured through a special operation.
The successful re-arrest was achieved through coordinated efforts by special police teams formed under the supervision of district authorities. The accused was subsequently produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
